It never ceases to amaze me how amazed some people are to discover that no vaccine, not even #CovidVaccine, is 100% effective and that there will always be some cases of people who were vaccinated but still get #COVID19. Such people are either ignorant or disingenuous.https://twitter.com/JewhadiTM/status/1390710681033379842 …

In the middle of a #pandemic, the number of "breakthrough cases" of #COVID19 in the vaccinated will appear to be large because the virus is circulating so widely. However, if you do the actual math, you'll find that the risk of getting COVID is much lower if you are vaccinated.

The bottom line: Pointing to cases of vaccinated people who still got #COVID19 as evidence that #CovidVaccine doesn't work is an old antivax trope. Pre-#pandemic, antivaxxers were doing the same thing with MMR and pertussis vaccines.

I say both. Ppl are selfish and ignorant, lacking insight into the fact that NOTHING in this life, except death, is 100%. This is not new information to ppl. But it is something to complain and whine about 😡

It was never said that no one will 100% definitely never get it if they are vaccinated. It was said the likeliness is greatly reduced & if you do get it you wont die or end up in an ER. People only hear what they want. They absorb selective information.

I've had multiple MMRs and have no antibodies to measles 🤷🏻. Is this because of my auto BMT? is it some inherited weirdness- mother had measles twice and sister had measles after being vaccinated - 🤷🏻? But I am serology + following my Pfizer vaccine.

The most common antivax comment I get is “It’s not a vaccine because it doesn’t lead to immunity. I can still get COVID.” Literally every day. I just can’t even...

Heard on "On the Media" that the breakthrough rate is not only less than expected, but spectacularly less than expected. But this is complicated by the fact that the vaccine also reduces symptoms.
