This also reminds me of how antivaxxers love to conflate legal language with scientific language in order to obfuscate and make vaccines seem dangerous. I've written several times over the years about how they love to do this. ("Unavoidably unsafe," anyone?)

Came across an anti-vaxxer yesterday and she was obsessed with the lack of permanent FDA approval. When I calmly explained that they normally need a longer time frame to collect antibody data, and that it’s normal...I thought her head was going to explode. Ugh

I work in clinical drug trials and we also have been administering the COVID vaccine. We spend quite a bit of time trying to explain this to people while fielding calls where people scream at us for “preying” on people for trials AND giving the vaccine.
