I suppose if I declared the pandemic was “essentially done” 3 weeks ago and was allergic to admitting error, I’d perhaps accuse my critics of tribalism and silencing debate. It’s easier to look at others than oneself.

This mandrola guy is just virtue signaling to his audience. Truth isn't arrived at by debate - that's not how science works. His audience probably doesn't know that though.
