As I understand, they've been working on coronavirus vaccines since the SARS outbreak of 2003-2004. The basic research was done. They only had to adapt the vaccines to the specific virus like they do every year for flu.
Is this where our standards have gone? Just because a person was the (debatable) worse President in History. Because something is done (claimed) to be done right that means something?
Goodness. Trump shouldn't get any credit for the hard work and smart scientists that created, tested, developed and implemented the vaccines. This is the triumph of culmination of many, many smart scientists, starting decades ago.
The only reason we have effective vaccines now is because of basic science research funded Trump's predecessors. Meanwhile he tried his damnedest to cut NIH, NSF & others off at the knees.
