I read one of the papers on CRISPR and thought it interesting. Then this COV-2 business started up and when I read that the Chinese published it's genome I thought "maybe 18 months if they start now" and I was surprised when they got it done in under a year. glad to be wrong.

Always good to go back and reevaluate your assumptions at the time. I thought the "masks are useless" claims were premature at the time.
