So @drlbram "I'm not racist" = "I am racist". "I'm very much not racist" = "I'm very racist".. "I am a racist" = I am a racist". What would falsify your theory that both denial & admission of racism = racism? What would it take to change your mind about your theory?https://twitter.com/DrIbram/status/1370008868877705222 …

Oh, please. This is a not inappropriate response to a specific denial. And he’s right. Most racists deny that they’re racist, just as most antivaxxers deny they’re antivax. This is so obvious that jokes about it were old when I was a kid.

Had the same thought. "I'm just asking the questions..." are the most virulent denialists, because they've learned, by practice, to cover their intentions up.

I love how Shermer’s defenders think that asking me if I’m racist is some sort of massive “gotcha.” It doesn’t bother me to admit that I have racist tendencies. Pretty much every white guy my age does. The question is: What am I doing about it? I’m trying to learn and be better.

Why is admitting that so difficult for my fellow whites people? The issue isn’t having that flaw. The issue is whether you’re trying to learn and work at minimizing and, as much as humanly possible, eliminating the racism you have in you.

It isn't: I'm the same- (though I'm not buying the structural bloatware that accompanies it) However, it's important to note the same is true about most people, everywhere.https://twitter.com/gary_worden/status/1195020354902728705?s=20 …

Or similarly, Ghanaians about Caribbeans, Kenyans about Somalis, South Africans about Zimbabweans? Mix n match to taste, ad nauseum.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes
Your use of the term “structural bloat ware” suggests to me that you might not quite “get it” as much as you think you do. Just sayin’.

That's certainly a possibility, and probably the inference you'd prefer... ...though I can't be sure if the misquoted 'bloatware' plays into that or not. You can't know, can you? For clarity: amongst the most profound racial prejudice I've witnessed has been between non-whites.
