I’m stuck in TX. Just got first dose of Moderna. My youngest is 14, though. He’s learning virtually (not doing well with it), but we already get notifications every day that someone at his school tested positive. That’s at 50% capacity. Don’t have high hopes.

Yesterday was warm, high 60s. I was vaccinated months ago. My plan was to go to my favorite brewery after work, sit on their patio and have a beer. It would be my first foray into the public, except for grocery shopping, in a year. I couldn’t bring myself to do it.

IKR? My wife and I went out to dinner a couple of weeks ago, and it felt very, very weird in a restaurant at 25% capacity. (Michigan has since increased it to 50%.) And, being in health care, we're both now fully vaccinated.

How to imagine living in Texas: Picture 80% of people making smart choices, wearing masks, minimizing exposure risk, being kind. Now add 10% entitled people who can't be bothered to care about it. Then add 10% wearing "Come & Take IT" shirts, no masks, and a handgun on their hip.pic.twitter.com/SkAtiR0g57

Guess which one make up the GOP base that keeps re-electing our state government?
