I feel like this is a huge deal that has not gotten enough attention. A small study noted a statistically significant finding. “adult outpatients with symptomatic COVID-19 treated with fluvoxamine, compared with placebo, had a lower likelihood of clinical deterioration over 15d.”
Not necessarily. Design of the trial is all. It's also a fallacy that an effect seen in a smaller trial means that the effect must be large enough that it will pan out in larger trials.

I am not disagreeing with that, and you seem to think I am. I am saying that IF the effect is true, then we may see it in smaller studies. I am not suggesting that finding an effect in a small study means the effect is true and will be found in larger studies.
