I feel like this is a huge deal that has not gotten enough attention. A small study noted a statistically significant finding. “adult outpatients with symptomatic COVID-19 treated with fluvoxamine, compared with placebo, had a lower likelihood of clinical deterioration over 15d.”

This is interesting as a concept. This study does not have the power for any real conclusions. My bet is it won't pan out.https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2773108 …

If they are able to show statistically significant effects with a small study, there is potentially real value here. While not rigorous, the effects were reproduced in real life examples (see
@60Minutes). I actually think this might pan out.1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes -

That’s backwards. A small study with significance i#may just be seeing noise. You’re not correct.

My my, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. There’s nothing wrong with debate, medicine is never black and white, it’s called science. I hope you’re not this rude to your learners. Medicine is toxic enough without that energy. And maybe you’re not correct.

I may be wrong but my tone doesn’t tell you that.

Glad you acknowledge that. It could be noise. It could also be true. We don’t know yet. Still, no need to engage like that.

I looked at Peter's response to you and failed to find anything "nasty" about it. He wasn't even that abrupt.

I hope you don’t tell other women or BIPOC that they’re imagining things when they share their experience.3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
And where did Peter say anything like that?
