I've been wondering this myself for months. The whole conspiracy theory is that #HydroxyChloroquine and #Ivermectin are cheap, plentiful drugs that big pharma doesn't make money on, which is why evidence of their efficacy is "suppressed."https://twitter.com/RogueRad/status/1367825455882113026 …

How is it that hydroxychloroquine & ivermectin created a cult that steroids never could? Is there a pharmacological explanation?

A key component is the drug has to be ineffective to be worshipped by the cult. Part of it is anti-science reflexicism, but another part is a show of faith to the leader in spite of contrary evidence. Trump hyped Remdesivir the same time as HCQ. The cult only latched onto HCQ.

It is CHEAPER and not just lining the pockets of our very corrupt government.

If the only goal is minimizing costs than sugar tablets are even cheaper If the goal effectiveness, Remdesivir showed some and HCQ did not. The cult rationally should have latched on to Rem over HCQ, but as I said a key part of the equation is the chosen drug must be ineffective

Yes, but Remdesivir was an expensive new product of big pharma, which could yield huge profits. Thus pushing Remdesivir over HCQ was evidence of the conspiracy.😉

That does contribute, but even if Rem was cheap like dexo I suspect the cult would have still gravitated heavily toward HCQ for the reasons I mentioned.
