Perhaps Catholic Bishops can tell me what the difference between using the cell lines in development versus also using them in manufacture is, morally speaking...

Or tell us how one of its bishops isn’t trying to kill Catholics with bad advice.https://twitter.com/Bishopoftyler/status/1352468902928932870 …
This isn’t a good representation of what he said. He told believers, if they have a choice, to go with Moderna or Pfizer. Which I think is legitimate.
What he said was plenty bad and in conflict with @Pontifex and what the Church had said. What he said will lead to some Catholics waiting until they can get the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine. Delay risks disease and death.
I brought up to science communicators early last year that only have abortion-tied vaccine lines would come to this. I encouraged drastic discussion about investments in non-abortion-tied vaccines for covid so more ppl could feel morally able to get the vaxx. No one listened
These were not from abortions, the cells are lines derived from embryos which were never implanted. Stop using hyperbolic language.
I'm a Lutheran who opposes elective abortions (but REALLY wants to reduce unwanted pregnancy cuz the issue is complex), but how this is different than using organs donated from car wrecks? No babies were aborted BECAUSE of the vaccine, right? So much knee-jerk moral grandstanding
