Trial was insufficiently powered with subjected with asymptomatic recent or concurrent infections.

I see. So you are arguing out of precaution in lieu of the hypothesis, but no direct attribution other than timing. Only way to test your hypothesis is to vaccinate or not in mis-a. Or vacc/not people with infection. If hypothesis were true, ↑ incidence mis-a among vaccinated

likewise, if it increases severity of mis-a, vaccinate or not cases of mis-a. this is not possible, obviously. better option is to treat people with mis-a

I also need to ask - how many people would you need to test this, if it were more ethical?

It would be unethical to enroll subjects who are currently infected in a vaccine trial…..from a design perspective. What does that say to you Dorit? Though it would be so good if you’d just stay in your own lane.

Yes. And I think my question acknowledged it too. And I think the question of numbers needed is still valid.

So to be clear. It’s unethical to enroll such patients in a trial - but it’s not unethical to indiscriminately vaccinate them? Are u sure U’re a law professor D?

I’m not the one alleging it’s a problem. You think it’s dangerous, so you decided it’s unethical.

But if you think you can’t test it in a trial, and you don’t accept the current evidence from surveillance, it sounds a bit like you decided your hypothesis is unfalsifiable. Do you have an alternative suggestion on how to test it?

Bingo! He’s created an unfalsifiable hypothesis.

it's also a feeble hypothesis. the vaccine doesn't cause mis-a. People have gotten 10x doses of the vaccine, no mis-a. mis-a requires (untreated) infection. The poor man's mis-a was not caught in time. Best he can advise is to screen for mis-a to make sure it is not confounded,

Imagine putting off so many vaccinations just to be weary of your shaky hypothesis. Imagine how many more infections would occur to delayed vaccination. Imagine 100 people see your claims and are not vaccinated. 1 would pass away from infection.
