You know you’re a “senior attending” when you think you’re being hilarious quoting from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, only to be met with blank stares from the residents, and then realize that the movie came out nearly two decades before they were born.

I mean, Monty Python and the Holy Grail was released in 1975 and was a late night movie cult thing when I was in college in the early 1980s. Most of the more junior residents on the service weren’t born until the early 1990s.

I've been trying to make sure my children are "properly educated". Not forcing them, just sucking them in 😊

I watched it last night with my 16 year old, and he was outquoting me throughout. He recited the entire holy hand grenade of Antioch sequence to perfection.

I was born in 1983 and I constantly drop lines from Holy Grail in conversation, just for fun and to get a rise. If they get my references, we'll get along great. If not, they're going to think I'm mad or odd, and that's just fine by me.
