This is how @Twitter and @TwitterSafety work. It's the same for antivaxxers and #COVID19 deniers, who can keep posting while those of us countering their disinformation get temporary bans for refuting them.https://twitter.com/MichiganTea/status/1364553837625892864 …

Basically, Twitter's automatic algorithms are pretty brain dead.

Yes, we have an active malicious

Did you "win" your appeals (after being forced to put up with the temporary ban)?

I gave them two days to even acknowledge my appeal and then deleted the tweets...

Given that appealing to
@Twitter and@TwitterSafety is basically pointless, I delete them and then (maybe, if I'm in the mood) try redoing the Tweets with different phrasing that doesn't trip the algorithms. Live to fight another day.1 reply 1 retweet 5 likes -

It's wrong that you even have to do that though. Anti-vaxxers have gamed the system (yet are hypocritical enough to claim that THEY are the ones being "silenced"
).1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

I don't disagree, but the question is this: Is it worth the effort and the ban to be right, or is it better just to delete them and move on to continue your message? The latter takes far less time and mental effort. I'm a practical man.

But don't you get a permanent suspension if you get reported enough (even if you subsequently delete the tweets)?

That I don't know. The temporary suspension has affected me so infrequently that I never really considered it. I suppose it might be worth fighting if you start getting suspensions too frequently, although I have no idea what too frequently would be.

Since mine was such a blatant misapplication of the algorithm I hoped that if a human reviewed it they'd immediately reinstate the tweets. HOWEVER I decided two days was long enough to wait...
