Oh, dear. Whatever shall @doritmi and I do? It's not as though @noorchashm listened to evidence, reason, or studies, nor did it ever sink in that he's acting just like the thing he says he's not, an antivaxxer. https://twitter.com/noorchashm/status/1360086961239830528 …

You've sold out the label of "antivaxxers" to plaster it on anyone with a nuanced view. You may get more twitter likes that way, but you're turning reasonable people against you and the idea that there is no reason to resist the medical politicians.

What's so "nuanced" about stubbornly insisting on the same conclusion regardless of the evidence? That's what we see from those we call "antivaxers". It's actually real easy to persuade us IF YOU HAVE THE EVIDENCE. If instead you've just got cherry-picking, THAT is your problem.

Saying "we have the evidence" is a weak argument. I recall Dr. Gorski saying that about the Surgisphere fraud. Then he shifted right over to the Cavalcanti debacle.

No one's saying "we have the evidence, b/c we're not antivaxers". What we're saying is "if you want so badly for vaccines to be at fault that you'll distort the evidence, you give us LESS REASON to think they actually ARE at fault." And THAT is when you earn "antivaxer".

John Salamone stood up and told the US government "You're using a dangerous vaccine you don't need to be using; it permanently injured my child. You need to change that!" Did he get ignored, belittled, labelled an antivaxer? NO. In fact, the changes he called for WERE MADE.

Why? Because he had the facts on his side. He showed his case. By contrast, asking Dr.N to show us a signal in the data which exceeds the baseline only results in... individual anecdotes. And getting blocked if we point out that's not nearly sufficient.

Precisely. This is the difference between a fake vaccine safety activist and a REAL vaccine safety activist.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2011/05/27/the-2011-measles-outbreak-and-vaccines-i/ …

If you guys were this rabid about Pfizer's data exclusions, we would be having a more productive conversation.
