Completely agree, especially with Cash’s version of hurt. His tone along with it being acoustic is much more fitting to the mood and tone of the song than the original

I would add the same with Disturbed’s version of “Sound of Silence” for the same reason regarding mood and tone.

I don't know if I view Disturbed's "The Sound of Silence" as *better* than Simon and Garfunkel's original, just different.
