@DrWoodcockFDA @US_FDA @CDCDirector @pfizer @AlbertBourla how are we to think about this COVID-19 vaccine associated death?

@doritmi@DrPanMD@gorskon I’d like to know how U think about the death of this doctor in Ur cognitive framework: 1) can’t possibly b related to the vaccine, Or 2) it’s an unfortunate, rare but unavoidable collateral damage from something that serves the greater good? Which?9 replies 1 retweet 2 likesShow this thread -

This was made in early December. We knew what was coming. Read carefully.pic.twitter.com/vaoaTL4rEf

Yup. We’ve long been warning about what I like to call the weaponization by antivaxxers of a veritable tsunami of claims of adverse events and deaths after vaccination that occur by random chance alone, ask too spread fear of

Ur contention that immunological complications resulting from indiscriminate vaccination of the infected in the midst of a pandemic outbreak R "random" is fully unscientific, dismissive and irresponsible. Indiscriminate vaccination of the infected likely poses a danger.

You clearly don’t understand my point. Put aside your idée fixe for a moment and consider adverse events that have nothing to do with your pet hypothesis, like what I discussed here.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/syncope-and-bells-palsy-telling-correlation-from-causation-for-adverse-events-observed-after-covid-19-vaccination/ …

Then consider how antivaxxers have misused the VAERS database to falsely attribute causation to correlation.https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/covid-19-vaccines-as-dangerous-continue-apace-vaers-edition/ …

Basically, you are doing the same thing as antivaxxers here. We’ve tried to explain this to you many times, but you don’t listen.

I listen very carefully. I don't think you are correct. We should all be very concerned about ANY death that occur post-vaccination after this roll-out in case they are part of a safety signal. U just wanna assume there is no safety signal - where there is reason to be vigilant.

OK, I'll bite. Explain why I'm not correct. Explain HOW what you are doing is different from what antivaxxers do when it comes to anecdotes of death or adverse events after vaccination.

U r not correct in your assumption that FDA/CDC would automatically look to see if Post-vaccine COVID-19 death or thromboembolic events are triggered by the vaccine. Post-vaccine COVID-19 dz/death and thrombomebolic events are not in the "Vaccine-related" denominator.

If it was common, news would be filled of previously infected healthcare workers getting sick from vaccine.
