The good doctor forgot a third position, which is most reasonable for right now: We don't know yet and should wait for the investigation's conclusions before deciding. Unfortunately, the good doctor does so love to jump to conclusions that a given anecdote supports his idée fixe. https://twitter.com/noorchashm/status/1359826269077135362 …

I also can't help but note that "The Greater Good," as the good doctor put it, is the title of an antivax propaganda film that was released around 9 years ago. Sadly, the good doctor does love appropriating old antivaccine tropes to support his idée fixe.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2011/11/18/anti-vaccine-propaganda-lands-in-new-yor …

Basically (2) is a straw man of the pro-vaccine position that's very much like the antivaccine mischaracterization of that position as callously being willing to sacrifice people to vaccine adverse reactions, all "for the greater good."

Seriously, doc, can you cut it out with the use of antivaccine tropes to support your idée fixe? It's not a good look for someone who proclaims himself to be so very, very "provaccine." /end

Professor, U are shocking. We are immunizing nearly 1 million Americans a day - and correctly so. When that level of speed is approached, all material and prognosticated risks MUST be mitigated. I think medical utilitarianism is overriding duty to prevent harm in Ur mind. smh!

Ex-Professor, you are even more shocking, continuing to use antivaccine tropes and talking points to support your idée fixe, even after it's been explained to you many, many times that they are, in fact, antivaccine tropes and talking points.

It’s also a problem, for me, that he is willing to grab other people’s tragedies to present and use this way. It’s exactly what the antivaccine group does, and it’s unfair to the victims.

Someone compared it to the immunologist equivalence if ambulance chasing, and they had a point.

I never used that term. Now that I’ve heard it used, though, damn, I’m hard pressed to say that it isn’t a good description of what he’s doing.

Let's not be clowns. We're talking about safety in a pandemic! Indiscriminate vaccination of persons with occult recent SARS-CoV-2 infection in the midst of a pandemic is likely to be a clear and present danger 2 lives.
