Honestly, it seems to have *enough* plausibility that I'd like to see someone convince the experts to do that sub-analysis. Someone other than Dr.N, preferably, who can make it seem like a reasonable concern and not an idee fixe.

Go for it Professors Gorski and Reiss....Call on
@DrWoodcockFDA@US_FDA@Pfizer to do the subset analysis with urgency. Your ad hominem attacks on my position have been unwarranted. The vaccine is critical to public health - but that doesn't obviate the need for risk mitigation.2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

“Hey, you pro lifers, morons, people who don’t care about safety, let’s unite!” Sorry, doesn’t work. You gave us no reason to trust your judgment, and Dr. Gorskon pointed to why your view is problematic. And claiming ad hominem attacks at this point is.... strange.

I think what is problematic is our contemporary American incapacity to be balanced. Efficacy and safety must be balanced well - especially in emergencies. Consider this: fast forward and my concern is material. Do you know how much credibility U'd lose? Reason shld prevail!

The point is that the claim that safety isn’t taken seriously is simply untrue. And when you say this, you are less, not more, plausible. And anyone looking at ACIP meetings discussing the data would see it. Safety data is carefully examined. 1/2

You are trying to claim there is a specific risk and calling for a specific sub-analysis. You can try to convince FDA & CDC. Dr. Gorski explains why he isn’t convinced, and I agree. And calling on people you’re attacking to promote your idea they disagree with doesn’t work. 2/2

Reason fails....As it does with pro-lifers. Reason fails, despite your MDs and JDs. smh.

And this is why asking us to unite, after you’ve been doing this kind of attack for a while, is a bit jarring.

I am asking you all, self-proclaim people of reason, to unite with me in adjudicating what is a reasonable risk concern in what will certainly be a "minority subset of people".... Vaccines will, in fact, benefit the majority. But can we protect any minorities in harm's way?

"Self-proclaimed people of reason"? That's some serious shade you're throwing there. The sarcasm is not escaping me.
