Anyone else in healthcare also think that masking is going to be standard protocol in clinical settings even after herd immunity is reached?

You underestimate the interest from healthcare systems in cost-savings and patient satisfaction. Masks will be gone in a year for these reasons.

I feel that pediatricians might prefer to go unmasked if possible, mainly because small children might be more scared.

I might wear a mask on airplanes forever. We’ve all been on flights with someone two seats away coughing and hacking...

And you think cloth masks are going to block any of that cough?

Personally I hope it is, but I know in my heart as soon as people are no longer mandated by government to do this they just won’t. Peoples childish behaviour about putting the smallest inconvenience above other peoples lives even in the healthcare industry no longer surprises me.

Question: What does the new mutation of COVID-19 (in UK & Ireland etc.) being "50% more transmissable" MEAN? If we already wear masks, it's in the air..not 1 epidemiologist/virologist has been asked or answered this question..

Mask use is common in the Far East. Couldn't hurt for it to become common here as well...

I for one can’t believe I just let people breathe on me all this time. Let’s keep it standard protocol in salons too, because clients would get us sick with their “allergies” ALL THE TIME.

I plan to wear a mask every time I travel. I have often caught a cold on airplanes. HIV begat universal precautions in health care and COVID will also shift our paradigm re: PPE
