This not-surprisingly opened a can of worms:
"What if a Colleague Refuses the COVID Vaccine?"
...should the shot be mandatory for healthcare workers??
Made this after hearing multiple reports of hcw refusing it.

As a patient with an autoimmune disease who hasn’t left the house for 324 days, I don’t want a physician or other HCW caring for me who chose *not* to be vaccinated!
-
Aahhh sending you good wishes - respect to you for doing to part to stay safe. HCW should be the first to know that vaccines protect not only them but patients too.

Correct. When
@AmerAcadPeds finally took a stance on mandatory influenza in Children’s Hospitals and peds clinics they said it was “ethically justified and long overdue.” I agree.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Also, professionals deliberately speaking loudly about their decision not to get the
#CovidVaccine in front of patients at the nursing station should be penalized. -
I've actually witnessed this. I overheard a nurse telling a patient she didn't trust the vaccine and was concerned about long term side effects. I almost broke something.

You nailed it sir. I agree wholeheartedly. Nonetheless, I worry how deep the mistrust has penetrated the healthcare system. I.e., that CEO at Sanford Health refused to wear a mask, those urgent care docs making up nonsense about herd immunity, dr. Alien sperm Dna, etc..
