This strikes me as confirmation bias at its most obvious, as in my experience I've seen *plenty* of women doing this, with no discernible difference between men and women. Maybe an objective study is needed. 🙄https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/20/well/mind/masks-men-manspreading.html …

yep... plenty of poorly fitting masks out there and #slippagehappens especially when you're talking...it's not a gender thing. 🙄

I am continually floored by how little it takes to convince the average person that any given thing is true.

The slipping masks from what I've seen (anecdotally) is about 50-50 between men & women. While some people do it deliberately to make a statement, others just aren't paying attention. I've seen them slip while people talk & they don't think to put it back right away.

Agreed I've seen about 50/50 for both sexes letting masks slip, or not wearing them at all. It's part of why I stopped going to the grocery stores before Thanksgiving and started getting them delivered... there are just too many careless people and morons in my area.

Maybe people just don't know how to find or adjust masks to fit their face? If my masks don't have earloop adjusters, I use an ear saver that fits. I have never had mask slippage.

I'm under the impression it's related to talking. And people with ill-fitting masks.

The cloth masks slip all the time. IDK what this person is on about.

I also wonder what the nature of the risk is with the nose exposed. I presume that the protection of others is still relatively good. It is primarily a risk to a person breathing in through the exposed nares.
