Just as a reminder, here's my discussion of Peter Doshi's deceptive @bmj_latest blog post...https://respectfulinsolence.com/2021/01/15/why-is-peter-doshi-still-an-editor-at-the-bmj/ …

And here's my good bud
@skepticalraptor's deconstruction of the same antivaccine-adjacent (if not fully antivaccine) article.https://www.skepticalraptor.com/skepticalraptorblog.php/anti-vaccine-peter-doshi-attacking-about-covid-19-vaccine-clinical-trials/ …Show this thread -
And here's yet another dismantling of Peter Doshi's ridiculous
@bmj_latest blog post. Bottom line: Doshi's main argument, that "suspected cases of#COVID19" rather than just confirmed cases should be counted in the#CovidVaccine efficacy analysis is either ignorant or deceptive.Show this thread -
Particularly facepalm-worthy is Peter Doshi's question, "Why should etiology matter?" He's basically arguing
#CovidVaccine should be judged on its ability to prevent all flu- or cold-like viral illnesses, not just#COVID19 cases confirmed by positive#SARSCoV2 PCR. Ridiculous!Show this thread -
Add to that the fact that Peter Doshi has served as an expert witness for a bogus lawsuit by
@ChildrensHD,@RobertKennedyJr's antivaccine propaganda and advocacy org, and I have to ask@bmj_latest once again: WTF? Why is he still an associate editor?Show this thread -
There comes a point when one has to wonder if
@bmj_latest leans antivaccine, given how it hired an editor with a long history of bad arguments "questioning" the safety and efficacy of vaccines and who now regularly uses the journal's blog to amplify antivaccine disinformation.Show this thread -
It just occurred to me that I forgot to mention
@JohnSkylar's excellent refutation of Peter Doshi's@bmj_latest blog post on#CovidVaccine.https://covidtransmissions.substack.com/p/covid-transmissions-for-1-15-2021 …Show this thread

Why has he not been kicked out of his job as editor of BMJ?
-
I've been asking that since
@bmj_latest hired him a few years ago. It was one thing when he was just a graduate student and fellow spewing antivaccine propaganda about H1N1 and flu vaccines. Now he's an associate editor for The BMJ. - Show replies
