The self-own here is epic. Just redo his math and you’ll see what I mean and why I screenshot the Tweet, in case he deletes it...

And... he finally realizes his error. I’ll give him credit for being gracious about it. I won’t give him credit for continuing to be dismissive of the corrected death toll.https://twitter.com/SimsYStuart/status/1350264477678247937 …
It’s rather like a factor of 100 doesn’t matter to him because this isn’t about a rational consideration of death tolls.
So there’s lies, damn lies, statistics, and whatever the hell he was presenting.
and if you look at the mortality rate from confirmed cases you get about 1600+ per 100,000. I am guessing that number is higher than the real mortality rate but the way he is doing the math would imply that Ebola or Marbug have minuscule mortality rates. Just so much wrong.
Plus, focusing only death, ignores the fact that there is all the other fall-out for individuals and society of high rates of COVID, such as overwhelmed hospital systems-->increased morbidity/mortality from other diseases, COVID disability, suffering, economic impact, etc.
