Obviously, correlation is not causation. But there is theoretical support for ivermectin. They aren't just fishing the data for correlations. How is this different from how they got approval for other treatments?

A whole lot of people claimed that the correlation proved that HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE was effective. So, which is it? Maybe the fact that there is less obesity and less hypertension allows less fatality in other countries compared to US.

This isn't HCQ. How did other therapeutics get approved? At least one ivermectin study was done in the U.S. The studies in other countries are done on their own population, so the control group has the same obesity and hypertension as the treatment group.

I was replying to the notion that "since India, et al, have less fatality and since India, et al use Ivermectin, the lesser fatality rate must be from Ivermectin." My reply is that the lesser fatality rate is because there is less hypertension and obesity in India, et al.

But that doesn't explain why cities that implement dosing programs have a lower death rate than surrounding cities.

That statement requires detailed proof. I don't see it. Getting the death rate from town to town is achievable, but the use of Ivermectin from town to town is not. Just speculation. I don't believe it. Not for a moment.

It defies logic to think all those trials are wrong. That doesn't happen.

Compare the two. Ivermectin has much stronger evidence and virtually no averse side effects.
