Before believing videos you see on social media claiming vaccine injury, ask yourself some questions: 1. Is this person aware their video is being used? 2. What is their medical history? Previous diagnoses or conditions? Family history? Drug use? 3. Did they self-diagnose?...pic.twitter.com/bWNfCEU887

      4. What is the timeline of events? Is it possible these symptoms popped up coincidentally around the same time as the vaccine? 5. What biases are they susceptible to? Did they just notice symptoms after the vaccine because it was a drastic change in their life?....

      6. Are there other possible causes of symptoms? Genetic conditions, environmental exposure, etc. The point is, people lie about "vaccine injuries" all the time. Some for nefarious reasons, some because they don't know any better....

Before spreading potential misinformation, think about all these questions above and ask yourself: are you SURE it was the vaccine? Why?

And if you are a physician, don't say what Dr. Jerry Spivak said in @nytimes and say it's a "medical certainty that the vaccine was related" to an adverse reaction until after an investigation has been carried out. It's basically a gift to antivaxxers.https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/12/health/covid-vaccine-death.html …

Even when the same article has multiple experts saying otherwise.

It is good Click Bait though! Fear, Uncertainly and Doubt are good for the NYT ad metrics, and it will go "viral" on Facebook. No one is paying attention. Our regulatory agencies or what is left of them, unable to keep up.

I mean, RFK Jr. and other antivaxxers are having a field day with Dr. Spivak’s statement!
