Masks are required but not sufficient. Vaccines > social distancing > contact tracing > masks We've been reduced to argue about masks when what we should be demanding is a comprehensive strategy.

On a call today with customer. Exec was asked "what about people who can't wear a mask". Response? "Go home". It's a hospital. People are coming up with excuses for not wearing masks IN A HOSPITAL.

From a risk communication standpoint, never liked “masks work”. Makes it a binary, and all anti’s have to hear is one person who wore a mask got infected and they’ve got their excuse. I preach “masks help”, a much harder thing to dismiss.

Yes, and since I am experiencing a mosquito pandemic where I live, I’ve erected a chainlink fence to keep me and my family safe from mosquito bites. I wish I didn’t keep having to repeat this, but chainlink fences work. Because science.
