Not in PubMed. No impact factor. You have to pay to have it published. They defined COVID as +RTPCR *or* abnormal CT scan *or* abnormal exam/symptoms?!?

Do you find using symptoms to make a diagnosis unreliable? Isn’t that what doctors do? I know people in U.S. who couldn’t get tested when ill, but they were still treated for covid. Besides, there are many, many false negatives for this disease

yes, using symptoms alone for a diagnosis of a respiratory disease is unreliable. The list of things that give cough is very long.

This is our current world - tests have been wildly unreliable, and I don't think many people are hauling off to the doctor for sniffles right now. If we just used tests, we wouldn't need doctors for diagnoses. It may get there with AI, but we aren't there yet.

PCR tests are not "wildly unreliable". Some antigen based tests are. But the whole point of the posted study was looking at viral clearance by PCR, so are you criticizing the study now for that reason?

I cant imagine reading industry journals for like engineering, and debating engineers about how they engage in research application. Yet everyone with a bachelor or master or phd of science and aint never treated a patient feels confident weighing in on translational medicine.

Most physicians are not scientists. That’s just a simple fact.

Yup. You don’t need to be a scientist to be a good doctor.
