I have a hard time believing, due to so much of the logistics/Warp Speed being under DoD agencies, that the issue is actually incompetence. I think HHS political appointees made a conscious choice to allow Moderna to catch up before wider distribution. Just my 2 cents.

This should not be read as me taking issue with Moderna‘s vaccine- it’s nearly as effective and seemingly just as safe as Pfizer’s vaccine- but we turned down Pfizer for additional doses after initial data, and they weren’t part of Warp Speed. Moderna was and Trump can get credit

I keep harping on 'The 5th Risk'. I'm older so I can be tolerated for repeating myself. But 'incompetence' isn't right because it implies a flaw. The inability is a *feature* not a flaw. They designed a government that fails.
