No one lives forever. Let the 90 year olds die peacefully. How long will this pandemic last? The IMF experts say 5+ years in countries that lockdown. Those that do not lockdown will develop natural herd immunity in 18 months. Pick your poison.

Well, those that survive will develop herd immunity. A lot of dead bodies along the way.

There will be no herd immunity from a coronavirus. Has anyone ever become immune to the common cold?

This is wrong, but we’ll go with your argument for awhile. Your point is that people still get colds because the virus has many variations and mutations? You believe Covid won’t behave similarly?https://mobile.twitter.com/DrEricDing/status/1340517608643317761 …

I'm absolutely certain COVID19 will mutate and become more virulent. I've been saying it to any twat who goes on about how relatively undeadly it is (i.e. only kills folk they don't care about), and how great 'Herd immunity' is. The 1918 Flu was like that until it mutated.

The vast majority of people in 1919 did not die of the Spanish flu, but of bacterial pneumonia, possibly caused by the excessive use of masks. People also just came out of a WW, and many probably died do to the shortages of materials and food at the time.

Nothing to do with masks. The pneumonia they died of is also what many people with COVID are dying of, and it's a bacteria that normally lives in your mouth and throat. The effect of COVID19 is that it destroys the normal protection in your lungs and the bacteria goes rampant.
