Exactly. I complained when remdesivir was approved and wrote a blog post about how weak the evidence was for convalescent plasma.

Glad to know that. Would you be willing to tell me your concerns with this study? https://medicalpressopenaccess.com/upload/1605709669_1007.pdf …

1) Not randomized, (not even contemporary) 2) single institution, 3) small study and 4) wrong endpoint. There are a lot of biases that creep in here. Perhaps there were just as many Covid in the treatment group but the cultures didn't work because of the spray. Worthless.

In other words, not "perfect". Many of these imperfect studies are all coming to the same conclusion. Would you only consider RCTs, or is there a point at which these imperfect studies would convince you it is worth the risk? They give this to healthy people to prevent scabies...

By the way, that hurts. I think I know more about data and statistics than most doctors - at least I took more graduate-level classes than they did, and I can interpret study results. If the data on ivermectin show later that it worked, will you at least admit I am prescient?

Funny, but if all that's true it sure doesn't show in your Tweets.

Ouch. You really got me. Have you heard there are 100,000 people in hospitals right now? I suggest you work on your bedside manner
