See what I mean about #Ivermectin being the new #Hydroxychloroquine? He's making EXACTLY the same argument HCQ cultists made February through June. How did that work out? Maybe #Ivermectin will work out better, but HCQ showed the danger of bypassing RCTs, even in a pandemic.https://twitter.com/badlandj/status/1336306106474373122 …

I won't discount that point as of course clinical validation is best, if you didn't notice we are in a pandemic. The risk harm ratio as displayed in the meta data disagrees with your comment here. If there are better treatments currently available please elaborate

And they CONTINUE to make EXACTLY the same argument #Hydroxychloroquine cultists made in March and April! 🙄😂🤦🏻‍♂️https://twitter.com/SuperYo2/status/1336318975915958285 …

I wish you could discuss that with the dozens of doctors around the world that are successfully using ivermectin. Do you need a paper issued by the WHO to save a life? It is nothing compared with HCQ, come on get serious!

If you say people like Satoshi Omura or Paul Marik (to name just two) are pseudo science cultists, we are all nuts!!! I guess you look at the mirror and see Einstein 😅😅😅

There were respectable academics who did the same thing for #Hydroxychloroquine. (Harvy Risch, anyone?) They used the same sort of bad science arguments, too.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2020/07/24/harvey-risch-defends-hydroxychloroquine/ …

Whenever anyone pulls the "respectable academic believes this" card, I simply respond: So what? I've encountered Nobel laureates who are antivax and believe in homeopathy.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2017/11/28/the-nobel-disease-strikes-again-luc-montagnier-goes-full-antivax-with-a-little-help-from-henri-joyeux/ …

But don't just deny what they are saying, have a serious debate and if you prove to be right, fine! What is so wrong is that "bring me the data" attitude while thousands are dying! If there's a possibility and respected doctors say it works they must be heard now!

You do realize, don't you, that this is EXACTLY the same argument that #Hydroxychloroquine believers were making in March (and continue to make). How'd that work out?

Ok let's say you're right in this point, but it doesen't mean anything. It would be the same story with any successful repurposed drug today. What I say is that It has to be seriously discussed now, and if the conclusion is it's not worth it, fine.

And what *I* say is that my skeptical antennae start twitching furiously whenever I see the sorts of arguments that were made for #Hydroxychloroquine and are now being made for #Ivermectin.

Except there's tons of positive RCTs for ivermectin this time, Dr Gorski.
