On the contrary, the MDs who testified were non-partisan, and a-political. The GOP has earned our distrust, especially lately, but this panel of MDs was definitely NOT anti-vaccine. They just want the NIH and CDC to look at their data. Ivermectin, in particular.

BS.
@jorient has a long history of antivax and antiscience activism, as I documented yesterday.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2020/12/07/senate-committee-calls-science-denialist-crank-dr-jane-orient/ …2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

The organization of which she is executive director,
@AAPSonline, is antivax, denies climate science, promotes#COVID19 disinformation, etc. I’ve been following their antics since 2006.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2006/03/14/journal-of-american-physicians/ …1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

@AAPSonline after@realDonaldTrump appointed a member to be@HHSGov secretary.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2016/11/30/the-new-secretary-of-health-and-human-services-is-a-member-of-a-fringe-medical-organization-heres-what-that-means/ …2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

If you don’t think
@AAPSonline is antivax, then why did it publish this hilariously antivax piece by Andrew Wakefield himself?https://respectfulinsolence.com/2019/09/06/andrew-wakefield-predicts-a-sixth-mass-extinction-due-to-vaccines-in-jpands/ …2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

Right before the
#COVID19 pandemic blew up@jorient’s group@AAPSonline was suing ™ to protect its “right” to spread antivax disinformation.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2020/02/07/aaps-sues/ …1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

More recently (and unsurprisingly),
@AAPSonline jumped on the#COVID19 denial and quackery grift train.https://respectfulinsolence.com/2020/07/22/aaps-crank-medical-association-promotes-covid-19-disinformation/ …1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
So, no, @jorient is not “non-partisan, and apolitical.” She is antivax, as is her organization @AAPSonline.

Thanks for that insight! However, I stand by my observation that her testimony today was not anti-vaxx at all (from what I saw). And Pierre Kory and his FLCCC group are definitely, explicitly, clearly NOT anti-vaxx. Too bad she was included since she is a lightning rod.
