They also don't understand that hospitals & ICUs are our *last* line of defense against a pandemic, not our first. If ICUs are at or near capacity, our public health preventative measures absolutely failed at several levels.

OMG, how can these people not understand that having empty ICU beds isn't a measure of success. ~40% of COVID19 ICU patients die, and a large # of survivors will have lifelong symptoms/disability. The hospital is not where you want to end up!
