The fact science denialism exists isn’t shocking. The fact it’s been so easily accepted by so many simply because of their political views is a bit shocking to me. I never thought a major political party could be a death cult but yeah, here we are.

Sure. Science denialism is bipartisan, but right here, right now, in 2020 the right and
@GOP engage in denialism so much more than the left. Indeed, antivax is now by far right wing, which didn’t use to be the case (although it’s a myth that it was ever overwhelmingly left wing). - Show replies

We all learn things for the first time that change our world view. When it happens we get a rush of dopamine that can be seen externally as pupil dilation and a tweet. It is interesting that we often don’t like to see this in others unless we cause it.
