I should clarify. BioNTech/Pfizer received $445 million from German government to help develop vaccine. Operation WS agreed to buy the vaccine if/when approved. The current administration had nothing to do with development of this particular vaccine.

Indeed. The whole reason for science by press release is to juice the stock and to claim a victory in the race for a vaccine. If Pfizer had enough for this two weeks ago, ITV would’ve announced then.
