      When Republicans embrace fascist ideas, as they have been doing, I’m going to call it fascism. Not doing so is intellectually dishonest and, again, is exactly what they want.

      What you’re doing now is what was said about racists elsewhere in this thread. They want to define racism as only its most blatant, white sheet wearing manifestations and not apply the word to less blatant forms. I reject that utterly.

      I’m not saying you’re a fascist or racist, obviously. But you’re playing into how racists and fascists want the terms used, only to describe the most blatant, obvious forms.

      No worries, I know you're not calling me that. I just disagree about the language thing, in two ways. First, I *do* think these terms are being used too liberally, and that creates unnecessary political problems that get in the way of good policy—which is the top priority.
