It’s not that fascists don’t exist. It’s that there’s a lot of people using it in a lot of ways, which dilutes its utility.

I’d just be happier focusing on *specific* policy issues / beliefs. Does this person want to pass a law making gerrymandering easier? Hell no! Do they want to make abortion illegal? I’m against it. All without broader terms.

The “broader terms” put those specific policies and beliefs in context. Collections of beliefs and policies flowing from those beliefs are what make belief systems, like fascism or white supremacy.
