I mean "crazy bad" is kind of a slang term, but tone police will always find something to nitpick in the name of faux civil "professionalism." If I had just said "ridiculously bad," he'd probably have had a problem with that, too.

My point was that tone IS important. It can set up a healthy debate or turn it into an adversarial discussion. Disagreement is fine but why do we have to be abrasive to those that have a different opinion or may have said something, realized their error, and corrected it?
