I taught thinking skills last year to smart kids. The emotional roadblock that prevents otherwise intelligent people from putting what they learn into practice describes how media literacy fails in the critical population of Trumpers.

We have to hold ourselves and people in our social networks accountable for the info we share online. We can make mistakes and that’s ok as long as we correct it in the same media we shared the misinformation. If not corrected we should pay a social price of being shunned.

I find combatting disinformation is one of the biggest challenges of practicing medicine. Disturbs me that patients choose to believe this crap and not what their doctor recommends. Like why would I recommend something harmful?
