Sure, they have a major testing deficit in the south, which was largely untouched by the first wave back in the spring.

But if masks work.... like I said, masks have been compulsory in Italy for months. Ergo, if masks did in fact work....

Tautological bullshit doesn’t work when mask compliance comes down to billions of interpersonal interactions that can’t be monitored. But go on with your “logic”

Worthless graph. There are no RCTs that prove masks work. Period. WaPo is a liberal shill- the very definition of tautological bs.

Calling the Post a "liberal shill" tells us all we need to know about you. also, here are 70 studies demonstrating that masks work. (Period.) You're just in denial:https://threader.app/thread/1279144399897866248 …

None of them are RCTs- which are the standard for science knowledge and application. anecdotal evidence doesn’t ‘prove’ anything. Understanding respiratory physiology, droplet formation, and viral spread of disease tells me what I need to know.

You're clearly not a scientist.
@gorskon, might you weigh in here?2 replies 0 retweets 7 likes -
RCTs are the gold standard, yes.

HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean that, when RCTs are either impractical or unethical (e.g., an RCT of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated children, which would leave the control group vulnerable to vaccine-preventable disease), we can’t still make strong conclusions from other study designs.

We make strong inferences like this quite frequently using epidemiology. It’s how, for instance, we know that smoking causes lung cancer and heart disease and that vaccines do not cause autism.
