Those studies were not great to begin with. But the RCT for Remdesivir is not great evidence either. It is easy to prove a drug works when you are very sick and then you take it and get better vs a placebo. Much harder to prove a prophylactic benefit in an outpatient setting.

Made even more difficult with the Lancet article that used bogus data. And the Recovery trial that gave a toxic dose.
