Nice read. I had DeVita in my library as well. Isn't the FDA is starting to evolve its approach wrt narrowly focused approvals? Things like checkpoint inhibitors are more broadly approved -- yes? Chemo vs immunotherapy, maybe?

Finally the FDA is approving targeted drugs based on the driving mutation rather than the cancer type. It's about time!

I am old enough to remember DaVita arguing that oncologist's need to be brave enough to give full doses to their Hodgkin's disease patients and chiding us for not doing so. I also have fond memories of Gianni Bonadonna, one of the pioneers in Breast Cancer chemotherapy
