Moreover, I do agree that words matter. However, I also add that one doesn't get to define words or dictate how and where they are used in a manner that preserves their privilege, which is what is going on here.

Pharmacy residencies are no joke. Most
@ASHPOfficial accredited require long hours after rotations preparing presentations, research projects, “staffing” or on-call etc. Standardized to last a year, or two with specialization in a field... like emergency medicine.#PharmResThanks. Is this whole “words matter” thing for doctors new, or is it that I am only just now seeing it? This seems like a variant of “its insulting to call us providers not doctors”, entirely pride based and absolutely nothing to do with patients.
