Also, the cartoon does quite clearly imply an “either-or” dichotomy between masks/social distancing/vaccines and nutrition.

David, you are irresponsible. You should know better. Tell me then, what is your preferred option: 1) Diet lifestyle adjustment. 2) Vaccine. 3) Both. If you or Brett took the time to read the post, you would see I am advocating for 3. And so should you be.

Your intention might option 3, but the image you are responsible for sharing does not have option 3. It is an either-or, that is crystal clear. If the people who are lined up choose to go to the diet/lifestyle line, they are not in the vaccine/mask line. You know that.

Precisely. It’s hard not to suspect that he’s being disingenuous here.

I see both of you as being disingenuous; I just can't figure out why. What is in it for you to discourage people from taking care of their health? I never suggested or projected a choice between to strategies; I clearly advocate for both. Do you disagree with that?

The image you chose presents a clear (false) dichotomy: You choose one or the other (with the implication that people are incorrectly choosing masks and vaccines over nutrition). It’s disingenuous to pretend otherwise. Instead of acknowledging a simple error, you double-down.

Alastair, twitter is limited in characters, and that suits some attention spans. If you read the original article/post you would see that I have, from the first post, advocated for both; not a choice.

The foundation of the people in a line meme, or variations of the "Modern Society" meme, is DICHOTOMY. "..the product for which one person is standing line is considered superior."https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/modern-society-parodies …

I mean- we cover this kinda stuff in school. The queues are metaphors for choice- with the implication that since you can’t be in both at the same time, you can’t choose both. (Eric knows this. He’s just too deep to turn back now)

Alastair, what were you doing at the end of February? I was recording a video telling people to do all the CDC recommendations AND take care of their diet and nutrition. Over a million people saw that video. It was NEVER a choice. But some dumb asses think it is.

Any cartoon that has two booths with two lines of people in it implies a choice. That’s literally how such cartoons work to communicate.
