I remember hearing as a kid that 1940s Bugs Bunny used the words ‘maroon’ and ‘idjit’ because the actual words were still offensive at the time.

I vote for adding new words to the English lexicon. Specifically for telling people how stupid they are. We have over a dozen words describing how light reflects in various ways. We can do better for stupid people.
