The thing is, an EUA for a Covid-19 vaccine may be the right thing in some circumstances. I think the problem is that at this point, because of their latest actions, we don’t trust the FDA to get the circumstances right.

Outside of (possibly) a situation of *incredibly* high community transmission, I can’t imagine a situation where an EUA would be justifiable.

I have a small quibble with that- you can demonstrate efficacy with a challenge study relatively easily But of course because of the relatively small sample size you can miss a lot of AEs so these really should not be the norm for how vaccines get licensure
