Likely correct. If more voters were objective enough to realize how it's the people/policies they voted for which got the USA in its current mess then it wouldn't be a concern. But rather than admitting the error many just double-down on it.

Seems like a commitment to law and order as well as a promise to address long standing issues with policing could fill the gap, instead of ignoring it completely. It's not hard to come down on the sensible side of this. People are tired of their communities falling into chaos.
