He just showed me a "study" on chickenpox and glioma that showed nothing verifiable. I guess he was trying to show that encouraging disease-spreading *isn't* a dangerous thing to do?

Yes. That study in which - A. They used interviews - do people remember having chicken pox. I have to wonder why the conclusion is not "people with glioma have a harder time remembering having chicken pox." B. The rate of harm reduction was less than risks of chicken pox. 1/2
