Why is #Hydroxychloroquine still a thing for #COVID19? If it were any other drug, the drip-drip-drip off negative studies, first observational and now more and more randomized controlled trials, would have sunk it long ago. Truly, HCQ pushers resemble a cult.

This has been studied, too. HCQ does not work as prophylaxis. https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2016638 … HCQ does not work in early infection. https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M20-4207 … Long story short, HCQ has no efficacy in COVID-19, regardless of when you start HCQ treatment.

Shoot I’m not even saying it has a modest effect. I’m saying that failure to statistically prove an effect isn’t that same as statistically proving a lack of effect.
